Marianne O’Loughlin

Marianne is a part-time Instructor at WMSI and is excited to share passion for science with the North Country.

Marianne received a B.A. in Environmental Interpretation from the University of Maine and has a passion for teaching and the science of animal behavior. She is also an Associate Certified Dog Behavior Consultant with the IAABC, an international animal behavior organization. She believes all species, from hippos to humans, can learn through collaboration and cooperation.

Before coming to WMSI, Marianne worked with a variety of species as an intern, veterinary assistant, and educator. Now she splits her time between teaching kids at WMSI and teaching pet families as a professional dog trainer.

When she isn’t working, Marianne enjoys theatre, hiking, and waiting for the two months out of the year when New Hampshire’s rivers aren’t too cold for swimming.
